Highway Services
The beauty of Colton Parish is part of what makes our parish so special. In conjunction with Cumbria County Council, Colton Parish Council employs a Lengthsman to help maintain the highways around our parish.
Lengthsman
Funded for through your precept, the Lengthsman helps in clearing and digging out roadside drains, strimming at junctions, and cleaning signs.
Off Road Vehicles
A Working Group has been set up in the High Furness area of South Lakeland concerning ‘Inappropriate and Illegal use of the Countryside by Motor Vehicles’.
